New Look

New homepage for small business marketing website

Images help to tell a story. When I first launched my website back in April, I used an image of an open road to greet visitors and to represent the idea of the journey ahead for potential clients. 

The passing lane symbolized speed—blowing past the competition. The bright light beaming over the horizon symbolized the potential of what lies ahead—the successful completion of the project.

Although it worked, I decided it was time to go in a different direction. I needed to find an image that captured the true essence of my focus on marketing and brand strategy for badass small businesses.

With the wind at my back, I set out on my journey with Moly, my coconspirator, to find something with an understated and unmistakable edge (think Johnny Cash)--an image that represents the idea of a blank canvas and the opportunity to partner with clients to create something truly special.

When I saw the photo of a guy wearing a dark shirt (think Johnny Cash again) holding a paint can up to a brick wall that just so happened to be painted white (the hipster equivalent of a giant white board), I knew immediately that I’d found "the one." All that remained was moving some of the content around to better fit with the new look and feel.
